Am.GCh / UKC RBIS GCh Blue Banners Honest Abe, "Lincoln" was born May 27th, 2014.
Lincoln is a stunning moderate boy at 15 inches, with a beautiful front, nice dark eye, excellent musculature, beautiful head planes and smooth movement. Let's not forget his best feature: his temperament! He is a lovable, energetic charmer who lives life with great gusto! He loves everyone he meets, and loves to show.
Linc finished his AKC championship with four majors and two Best of Breeds over specials; a special thank you to Julie Grandquist for taking us under her wing and helping a novice handler with grooming and presentation. He just finished his Grand Championship with Sarah handling 100% of the time in limited showing. Recently, at Cyclone Country Kennel Club, Lincoln was BOB in an entry of over 50, including 12 other specials, for a 5 point major under breeder judge Bob Kelly!
To date, Lincoln has had much success in the Herding Group ring. He has two Group Seconds (thank you to Judges Judi Bendt and Patricia Taylor) and four Group Fourths (thank you judges Col. Harold Brizee, James Reynolds, James Frederiksen, and Patricia Trotter).
We were thrilled that Lincoln was piloted around the ring in New York City at the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show in February, 2020, by the amazingly talented Lindsay Siflinger. He had a blast as always, and we were just excited and proud to be there with the BEST of the best.
When he's not having fun in the ring, Linc enjoys running agility and practicing obedience (both for fun), as well as hogging the remote to watch Sopranos reruns while he eats his carbs (he steals our bread - his favorite is fritter bread!).
He has some lovely puppies on the ground; he tends to control size and let the bitch shine when he sires.
